The conductor of Herning Boys Choir
Mads Bille
Mads Bille was educated as an organist and choirmaster at the Royal Academy of Music, Aarhus, later pursuing further studies in organ, singing and choir training.
Since 1984 he has been the organist of Herning Church and since 1999 also director of the Jutland School of Singing.
Concert activities
Mads Bille has given hundreds of concerts in Denmark and most of Europe as an organist, choir conductor and accompanist. He has also taken part in many programmes with organ and choral music for the Danish Broadcasting Corporation, has broadcast on the BBC, Iceland's Radio and has made a large number of records and CD recordings both as an organist and conductor.
Professional activities
In 1999 Mads Bille established the private institution The Jutland School of Singing which organises the musical tuition of musically gifted children in Mid and West Jutland.
Mads Bille has also in recent years focused his attention on the choirs role in the service, helped to elaborate FUK's teaching plans, written articles and given lectures.
